We recently farewelled stallions Whittington and Under The Louvre from Grandview Stud to their new homes in the Rockhampton area.
It was with sadness we said goodbye but we know they are both at great new homes to continue their stallion careers.
Whittington was our foundation sire producing athletic horses that trained on. A great example being Stampe, a Stakes winner and Group placed, winning as a 2yo and still racing at a high level today as a 6yo.
Under The Louvre was our second stallion at Grandview Stud. We were honoured to stand the Group 1 winner of the time-honoured Stradbroke Handicap. He is a strong athletic horse, traits he has passed on to his progeny. They are proving to be tough racehorses much like he was winning at 2 and training on over multiple distances.
Both stallions have already had great success with runners in the Central and North Queensland regions and their relocation will be a great opportunity for breeders in those regions to access the 2 stallions this coming season.
Both stallions were absolute gentlemen and will be missed by us all here. We wish them luck and happiness in their new homes.
